Electroplating

Electroplating is the process of depositing metal or alloy on the surface of workpiece by means of point solution to form a uniform, compact and well-bonded metal layer.


Application of electroplating process:

● Resistance to wear and tear


Colored zinc electroplating on the surface of die-cast aluminum alloy, aluminum itself is a kind of amphoteric metal, which is unstable in the solution of acid or alkali. In addition, the structure of die-cast aluminum alloy is loose and has defects such as sand holes and pores, which will often affect the quality of electroplating. After proper pretreatment, it is easy to electrogalvanize the die castings. After electroplating the zinc layer of 10 sheets m and then passivation, the corrosion resistance of die casting aluminum alloy can be doubled. In order to prevent color discoloration of color zinc, an organic protective film can be dipped.

1. What information should be provided for accurate quotation?

Product's 2D drawings, 3D models and quantity required.

In the drawing, there should be maximum, minumum wall thickness, maximum profile size, dimensional accuracy requirements, surface quality requirements, casting materials and other technical requirements.


2. What kind of material do you usually use?

 A356(ZL101A) and A380(YL112).


3. What about the wall thickness of the casting products?

For low pressure & gracity & sand casting: appr.5mm;

For die casting: ≥2mm.
